How does it work?

Before the Stay

  • You can learn about studies we offer by going online or by calling us at 1-866-262-7427. One of our recruiters will conduct a brief telephone interview with you to determine if you are eligible for a study. The recruiter will describe studies offered based on your availability and will give you an appointment for a medical examination.
  • Prior to the medical examination, you will be provided with an information and informed consent form that accurately describes the study drug, study duration, planned tests, expected side effects and potential risks. At this point, our medical staff will discuss the study with you and answer all your questions. This will allow you to make an informed decision regarding your participation.
  • After you have signed the informed consent form, you will undergo a medical examination to evaluate your condition. Upon receipt of your exam results, one of our recruiters will contact you to confirm whether you are eligible for the study. Please note that all information collected during the study will remain confidential.

During the Stay

  • As environmental control is essential to ensure data accuracy and correctness, you will have to stay in one of our facilities during the study. Most of our studies are of short duration and usually involve 2 or 3 stays of 36 hours.Tests are conducted according to strict procedures and supervised by qualified and experienced doctors, nurses and technicians. At any time of day or night, you will be supervised by our staff who will answer all your questions and attend to all your needs.
  • Our facilities are equipped with rest areas. You will sleep in a room with up to 8 other participants, or in a dormitory. In addition, all meals are provided. Since you’ll have plenty of free time between tests, we suggest you bring sources of entertainment such as:
    • Laptop or tablet
    • Headphones
    • School work
    • Books or magazines

You will also have access to computers, televisions, a wide selection of films, board games, newspapers, magazines and wireless internet (WiFi).

IMPORTANT: Please note that you may withdraw from a study at any time. In this case,‭ ‬a physician will evaluate the risks of leaving at the time.‭ For safety reasons, we recommend that participants respect the doctor’s opinion.‬‬

After the Stay

  • Short follow-up visits to our facilities may be required to determine how long the drug stays in your body and for medical assistance to ensure your safety.
  • You will receive your final compensation payment upon your final visit.
